Extending X Series line up, Japanese imaging major FujiFilm today launched X-E3 mirrorless digital cameras in India. The X-E3 will be available in black and silver colours in three kit options - body-only for Rs 70,999, body with 18-55 mm kit for Rs 102,999 and body with 23mm F2 kit lens for Rs 89,999.

The Fujifilm X-E3 is also the first camera from the X Series to equip Bluetooth connectivity for easy transfer of pictures. The mirrorless camera comes with a 3-inch static touchscreen that supports double-tap enlargement, drag and pinch in/pinch out functions.

The X-E3 is also equipped fully-automatic Advanced SR Auto mode wherein the camera chooses the optimum settings for a given scene. The X-E3 features a 24.3MP APS-C sized X-TransTM CMOS III sensor and X-Processor Pro image processing engine combination.

According to Fujifilm, the camera has a startup time of 0.4 seconds, five frames/second live-view continuous shooting and 0.06 seconds auto-focus speed detection. For video, the X-E3 is capable of recording both Full HD and 4K video.

The FUJIFILM X-E3's X-Processor Pro image processing engine delivers a processing speed roughly 4x faster than previous models. X-Processor Pro also enhances overall performance with shorter shooting intervals, shutter release time lag and blackout time, as well as improving AF accuracy and the number of continuous frames possible in the burst mode.

In addition to ordinary ISO levels, the camera is capable of using extended ISO levels, including ISO100/125/160/25600/51200 and is also capable of recording in RAW.

A total of 15 modes are available, including PROVIA and Velvia to reproduce vibrant colors, plus ACROS for fine-detailed monochrome images. The Grain Effect function can be combined with all Film Simulation modes to add a textured look and deliver a greater range of artistic effects, the company said.
