Beyerdynamic in collaboration with Berlin-based sound specialist company Mimi has launched a new Aventho wireless headphone in India at Rs 24,999. The headphones integrates Mimi technology to adjust the sound according to the listener’s preference.

The result is a listening profile that fits you like a perfectly tailored suit and allows for unique sound calibration. Once the listening profile is complete, it is saved in a chip in the headphones. It is thus available for every sound source – even without the app. The intensity of the sound adjustment can be set using the beyerdynamic MIY app.

The closed on-ear Aventho wireless headphone also offers a touch gesture control pad. All functions can be activated using simple touches and gestures: next track, louder, take a call, hang up, lower volume, pause. The sensitivity of the touch controls can be customised to suit your individual preferences using the MIY app. Further customisation options will be made available via updates.

The wireless headphone uses Bluetooth 4.2 protocol with the aptX HD codec from Qualcomm and also supports the AAC codec for iOS Apple products. The Aventho wireless headphone offers up to 20 hours of music playback.

In addition to customised sound, beyerdynamic is also contributing towards healthy, fatigue free listening: the tracking functionality is an innovative “Sound Watching” app service that provides an overview of your listening habits on request and shows whether your ears need a rest – because sometimes your favourite music can make you lose track of time. The “Sound Watching” function analyses playback volume and listening duration. It uses these two parameters to determine potential strain on the hearing.

The beyerdynamic Aventho wireless will be available in stores from October onward in black and brown colours.
