In early 2018, Facebook will launch Angry Birds, a new game built for Messenger with classic gameplay and Tetris, which will come with marathon mode. Both games are built by CoolGames, an Instant Game....

Last year, Facebook launched Instant Games platform to developers to build customised gaming experiences for both Messenger and News Feed. The company today updated the platform by adding support for live streaming and video chat features.

The new live streaming feature is powered by Facebook Live and allows Messenger users to broadcast their gameplays to their profile or a Facebook page.

Here is how to use it.

While playing a game, tap the camera icon located in the upper right corner of the game. Once selected, you can choose the audience with whom you want to share your game playthrough and can also add a brief about your video. To start recording, just press the “Start Live Video” button.

Once the broadcast ends the video will be published to your Page or profile so that fans and friends who missed it can watch at a later time. You can remove the video post at any time, just like any other post.

The company will soon be testing a feature that will enable people to play games with each other while video chatting. Over 245 million people video chat every month on Messenger and when this feature will be rolled out early next year, Words With Friends from Zynga will be the first game to use it and allow friends to watch each other’s reactions as they run up the score.

The Instant Games had only 20 games available in just 30 markets. Now, the platform has over 70 games from more than 100 developers available worldwide.

In early 2018, Facebook will launch Angry Birds, a new game built for Messenger with classic gameplay and Tetris, which will come with marathon mode. Both games are built by CoolGames, an Instant Games platform developer.

Facebook will soon add Sonic Jump from SEGA, developed by SEGA HARDlight, Disney Tsum Tsum, published by LINE and a new casual puzzle games developed by GungHo Online Entertainment, Inc., makers of the hit game Puzzle & Dragons.
