For consumers interested in purchasing Xiaomi’s Redmi 4, the smartphone will be on sale today, 3 p.m onwards on Amazon.in. The 2GB/16GB variant is priced at Rs 6,999, 3GB/32GB variant is available at Rs 8,999 and the 4GB/64GB variant will cost Rs 10,999.
The company is also bundling launch offers wherein users can get 30GB additional 4G data on JioDigitalLife, free 3/12 months Hungama Play subscription and can get Rs 200 promotion credit for Kindle Books.
According to Counterpoint Research Market Monitor, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is also fastest selling smartphone in the country and holds 7.2 per cent market share in the Indian smartphone market in the second quarter of 2017.
Redmi 4 features 5-inch HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor and houses 4,000mAh battery.
The device comes 13MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, geo-tagging, face/smile detection, HDR and panorama picture modes. There is also 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture.
Xiaomi, today announced that it has sold five million units of its Redmi Note 4 within six months of launch from January 23 to July 23.
To celebrate and in line with the company’s initiative to give back to the community, Xiaomi has created largest grain mosaic art spread across an area of 6,000 square feet at Thyagraj Stadium in the capital. The mosaic was created from 40,000 kilograms of food grains such as pulses, rice etc were obtained to create this mosaic. These grains will be used to feed five lakh hungry people on the Independence day.
Three special Mi Fans also came forward - Boman Irani (renowned movie actor), Mithali Raj (Captain of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team) and Virender Sehwag (Former Indian Cricket team member) to support the cause, the company said.
