Designed for working professionals and gamers, Samsung India today launched the world’s biggest 49-inch ultra-wide curved monitor in India.

Priced at Rs 150,000, the 49-inch QLED monitor is available for purchase on Samsung Shop and will soon be available at retail outlets. With 32:9 aspect ratio, the new monitor is currently the widest monitor available in Indian market.

The monitor comes with features such as “Eye Saver” mode and “Flicker Free” technology which enhances eye comfort making it ideal for professionals who need to spend long hours at their work stations every day. The “Eye Saver” mode restricts Blue light emissions, thereby reducing eye-fatigue.

“Samsung has always been at the forefront of consumer-centric innovations and the launch of QLED curved monitor is in line with that very commitment. A perfect companion for serious business professionals and gaming enthusiasts, the monitor is not only the biggest in the category, but also a trend setter in terms of specifications and technology,” said Puneet Sethi, Vice President, Consumer Electronics Enterprise Business, Samsung India.

The QLED monitor packs an ‘Easy Setting Box S/W’ application on the desktop that allows user partition the screen into displays of various sizes and functional configurations for smarter multitasking. Other features include increased speed, finer control and multiple input ports that further make it easy to connect the other compatible devices with the display.

The monitor utilises quantum dot technology that adjusts light efficiency, delivering a wider colour spectrum. With new metal alloy quantum dots, the QLED monitor addresses all major aspects of picture quality, including colour volume, brightness, bold contrast and viewing angle, the company said.

Ideal for gamers, the monitor packs High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology which offers high contrast, depth and range to the colour, allowing dark areas to appear darker and light areas to appear brighter.
