Vivo V7 with 24MP selfie camera launched in India

Vivo today launched a new Vivo V7 smartphone in India that comes with 24MP front camera, FullView display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is smaller variant of Vivo V7 Plus that the company launched in September this year.

Priced at Rs 18,990, the device will be up for pre-booking on Flipkart starting today (Monday) and the first sale will be held on November 24. Flipkart has also announced launch offers including no-cost EMIs, one-time free screen replacement, up to Rs 18,000 off and additional Rs 2,000 off on exchange, free couple movie voucher from Bookmyshow.

The smartphone will come in champagne gold and matte black colour variants.

The Vivo V7 runs Funtouch OS 3.2 on top of Android 7.1 Nougat OS and features a 5.7-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) FullView IPS display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. V7 is armed with an octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC with 4GB of RAM.

The Vivo V7 sports a 16MP rear camera with flash and an f/2.0 aperture, and a 24MP front camera with 'Moonlight Glow' selfie light and an f/2.0 aperture. The smartphone offers 32GB of built-in storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via micro-SD card.

Other connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and FM radio. Weighing 139 grams, the smartphone houses 3,000mAh battery. Vivo V7 Plus has a slightly larger 3,225mAh battery.

According to market research firm Counterpoint Research, holding nine per cent market share, Vivo stood third in third quarter of 2017.

Vivo is the only Chinese smartphone manufacturer in India that has set up a full-fledged manufacturing unit in the country in line with the government's 'Make in India' initiative.

The company is currently manufacturing and assembling one million units a month at Greater Noida plant and aims to triple the production in the near future.
