Aiming to offer a productive and versatile experience to consumers, Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab S3 with an advanced S Pen in the country at Rs 47,990.

Galaxy Tab S3 is successor to Galaxy Tab S2 and comes in two variants based on connectivity -- LTE and WiFi. The device will be available in black and silver colours across retail stores, starting June 20.

Designed for users at home, work or on the go, the tab features quad speakers tuned by AKG and HDR-ready display to deliver enhanced video and gaming experience along with seamless multi-tasking capabilities.

Galaxy Tab S3 comes with 9.7-inch Super AMOLED QXGA screen with a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels, fingerprint scanner, six-pin keyboard connectivity support and a Stylus Pen which is new to the Galaxy Tab S series.

The S Pen does not require any charging or pairing and comes with 0.7mm tip.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor (Quad Core 2.15GHz + 1.6GHz) paired up with 4GB of RAM, has 32GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 256GB and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

The tablet sports 13MP auto focus rear camera with flash and a 5MP front camera and supports Pogo keyboards that do not require separate charging or pairing.

The tablet houses 6,000mAh battery with adaptive fast charging capability and also equips Near Field Communication (NFC). Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE.

The company has also partnered with Reliance Jio to give users -- 28GB + 28GB data to the users at Rs 310, which will be valid up to December 31, 2017. The company is also offering a one-time screen replacement at Rs 990 for tablets bought before July 31, for 12 months from purchase.

According to a report from IDC, Samsung is leading the tablet market with 21.3 per cent share in the first quarter of 2017. Driven by healthy growth in commercial shipments, Samsung shipments increased four per cent quarter-on-quarter.  

Samsung's Galaxy J Max continues to be the top selling model for the company, followed by Galaxy Tab A.
