Those who have already updated to iTunes 12.7 can still install 12.6.3, but it should be noted that Apple isn’t providing technical support for this version, only for 12.7.

Apple recently released iTunes 12.7, but the new software put an end to one of the most popular feature used by consumers including me which was to download apps on iPhone while working with iTunes on Mac or a PC.

However, some Reddit users have discovered that Apple has quietly released a iTunes version 12.6.3, that you can download right away. Anyone can download iTunes 12.6.3, but once it’s installed, users will no longer be able to update to future versions. Those who have already updated to iTunes 12.7 can still install 12.6.3, but it should be noted that Apple isn’t providing technical support for this version, only for 12.7.

In September, Apple released the new iTunes 12.7 that focuses on music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks. It adds support for syncing iOS 11 devices if you previously used iTunes to sync apps or ringtones to your iOS device, use the new App Store or Sounds Settings on iOS to redownload them without your Mac.

Those of you who want iTunes 12.6.3 right now can get it at this link -- https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/7557ba/apple_secretly_releases_itunes_1263_which/?st=j8l4gxvk&sh=378a8e8b.

Yes, it will work with iPhone 8 and iPhone X.
