Asus ZenBook 14, Zenbook 15 with secondary screenpad launched in India

Taiwanese tech giant Asus has added ZenBook 14 (UX434), ZenBook 15 (UX534), and ZenBook Flip 13 (UX362) to its Zenbook family of laptops in India. The ZenBook 14 and ZenBook 15 fall in company’s thin, light and compact laptops category. They are equipped with NanoEdge displays that offer up to 95 percent screen-to-body ratio. The laptops are also equipped with ScreenPadTM 2.0 which is an interactive secondary screen with smartphone-like interface. When it comes to the ZenBook Flip 13, Asus says that it is the world’s most compact convertible laptop. It uses a patent-pending method to rearrange the display PCB board in order to reduce bezel size. The company says that it also has the smallest 3D IR webcam with a four-element lens for sharper image quality and fast face-login.

“Since Indian market is of prime importance for us in ASUS, it has been our endeavour to meet the growing demands of the Indian consumers and provide them with the latest innovations. To the same end, we are glad to unveil the latest additions to our ZenBook family. While the series ZenBook 14 (UX434) and ZenBook 15 (UX534) brings our revolutions Secondary ScreenPad touchscreen to the fore, ZenBook Flip 13 is world’s slimmest convertible laptop. ZenBook 14 and ZenBook 15

Both the laptops sport frameless NanoEdge display offering 95 percent screen-to-body ratio. Asus says that ZenBook 14's chassis is smaller than most 13-inch laptops on the market. ZenBook 15, on the other hand, has a chassis the size of a standard 14-inch laptop, but it accommodates a 15.6-inch display. Both these machines feature 5.65-inch ScreenPad 2.0 which is powered by ScreenXpert software. With this secondary screen, Asus aims to boost productivity.

The laptops feature up to the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 - 8565U processor and a range of fast graphics options. While ZenBook 14 comes equipped with up to NVIDIA GeForce MX250 discrete graphics, the ZenBook 15 is equipped with high-performance NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q GPU. All the models launched under the series are equipped with up to 1TB PCIe SSDs and up to 16GB of RAM. Asus claims that the new ZenBook series delivers up to 12.3 hours of battery life for Zenbook 14, and up to 14.9 hours for ZenBook 15.

The laptops are equipped with a liquid-crystal-polymer fan impeller with 84 blades -- 12 percent increase over the previous designs. The fan impeller is housed in a 3D-curved aerodynamic shroud that can generate 15 percent more airflow than before, Asus notes. While ZenBook 14 features a USB 3.1 Type-A port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, an HDMI port and a microSD card reader, the ZenBook 15 has the same ports, however, all the USB Type-A ports support USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds.

ZenBook Flip 13

The ZenBook Flip 13 also comes with a frameless NanoEdge design offering 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the ZenBook Flip 13 has 8th Generation Intel Core i7 quad-core CPU, 8GB RAM, PCIe SSDs and gigabit-class Wi-Fi. It is claimed to deliver up to 13 hours run time on a single battery charge. Asus claims that the new machine has the smallest 3D IR webcam with a four-element lens for sharper image quality and fast face-login. It comes with USB Type-C and it also supports display output.

Pricing and Availability

Asus ZenBook 13 (UX362) starts from Rs 76,990, the ZenBook 14 (UX434) is priced at Rs 79,990 and ZenBook 15 (UX534) starts from Rs 1,19,990. All the laptops and will be available on Amazon, Flipkart, and Paytm.
