China’s Comio enters India with three new Android smartphones

The Comio S1 is a sleek device with metal unibody and comes with 5.2-inch-HD display. Similar to P1, the Comio S1 also has 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and a fingerprint sensor.

Comio, a smartphone brand of Topwise Communications, has entered Indian territory and has launched three new smartphones – Comio P1, Comio S1 and Comio C1 in India at Rs 9,999, Rs 8,999 and Rs 6,999, respectively.

Comio aims to give a tough fight to China’s Apple ‘Xiaomi’ which currenly holds a strong position in sub-Rs 10,000 price band in India, which is also the fastest growing segment in the country.

Designed for power users, P1 offers 5,000mAh battery and features a 5.5-inch-HD display. The smartphone sports 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and a fingerprint sensor. P1 has 3GB of RAM and houses 32GB internal memory.

The Comio S1 is a sleek device with metal unibody and comes with 5.2-inch-HD display. Similar to P1, the Comio S1 also has 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and a fingerprint sensor. The device 2GB RAM and 32GB storage and is fuelled by a 2,700mAh battery.

The third smartphone in the range is Comio C1 that comes with Hi-Fi music capability, 5-inch HD display, 1GB of RAM, 32GB storage and a 2,200mAh battery. The device has a 5MP rear camera and 8MP front camera.

All the three smartphones are powered by 64-bit quad-core processors. Other connectivity options include dual SIM slot, expandable storage, 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. All the three devices run on latest Android 7.0 operating system with no bloatware.

For security purposes, the three smartphones are preloaded with Antivirus, Anti-theft and intruder selfie feature. The company has also tied up with Jio wherein users will get an extra 20GB data with the purchase of Comio smartphones.

The company is offering 30 days’ replacement warranty, an one year + 100 days extra warranty, and screen breakage warranty. There is also a buy back and an upgrade offer of 40 per cent discount on existing Comio device, which is valid only within one year of purchase.

The company in the first phase will offer the three smartphone in northern and western regions of the country. And Comio smartphones will the light of the day in the southern and eastern parts in January 2018.

All the three smartphones will be available in retail stores initially and later in the online channels. Early this year, Comio announced plans to invest Rs 500 crore in the Indian smartphone market.
