Google has announced that its annual developer conference, Google I/O 2020, will be held from May 12 through May 14 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View. The announcement was made by Sundar Pichai, Indian-origin CEO of the Alphabet Inc and Google, in a tweet. When you visit the company’s official Google I/O website, you’ll notice an animation that appears from a black screen and fills the space with twinking figures.

‘A COLLABORATION OF THE COSMOS. Earlier, the intergalactic satellite network powering this signal board was down. It has since been restored, but we still need your help to maintain the network. Can we count on you?,’ reads a message on the screen. There is little knowledge about what the company wants to hint with animation and this coded message.

If we take into account the company’s past announcements, we can safely say that there will be things related to artificial intelligence (AI), Assistant, Google Glass, Android R, and service enhancements. We may also see announcement regarding the rumoured Pixel 4a smartphone. This is the mid-range Pixel phone and may ship with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor at its core.
