GoPro has launched its flagship camera for 2020, the Hero 9 Black, which replaces the existing Hero 8 Black as the flagship GoPro camera. The Hero 8 Black, then, should move down as the brand's second-best offering, followed by the Hero 7 Black, which will be the brand's new entry-level model.

The main highlight of the GoPro Hero 9 Black is a new 23.6MP sensor, which is capable of shooting 5K videos. It also features dual screens, one of which is a newly added coloured display at the front, which aims to deliver a live viewfinder view for easy framing. The rear display receives minor upgrades too, as it now gets better touch response and better touch zoom.

Another notable addition to this year's flagship GoPro includes a feature touted as 'Hindsight', which starts capturing video 30 seconds in advance before the shutter button is pressed. It is also waterproof up to 10 meters. Lastly, the new camera also comes with a ‘Webcam Mode’ for live streaming 1080p video on the move. It also packs in hyperSmooth image stabilization for videos.

The GoPro Hero 9 Black remains to be compatible with former GoPro mods, including a new Max Lens mod. As far as its pricing is concerned, the GoPro Hero 9 Black price in India is set at ₹49,500. It will go on sale in late October.
