Huawei’s e-brand Honor today launched a quad camera smartphone -- Honor 9 Lite in India – at Rs 10,999 for 32GB variant and Rs 14,999 for 64GB variant. The Honor 9 Lite features a 5.65-inch display and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with custom EMUI 8.0.
The Honor 9 Lite sports a quad camera setup encompassing of 13MP dual-lens camera with PDAF at the back and a 13MP dual front camera set up. With 18:9 aspect ratio, the smartphone offers a resolution of 2160x1080p.
Honor 9 Lite features a layered nano-etched design on its back and is cladded inside a double-sided 2.5D glass unibody. The Honor 9 Lite runs on EMUI 8.0 which is equipped with the latest AI technology including enhanced F2FS file system, resulting in more optimised system caching and no more worrying about the device getting slower over time, the company said.
The Honor 9 Lite is powered by latest Kirin 659 octa-core processor and offers a microSD card of up to 256GB. There is a big 3,000mAh battery to fuel the apps and comes with six power-saving features.
The Honor 9 Lite will be available in three colours -- sapphire blue, glacier grey and midnight black. Consumers can purchase the device starting from January 21, 12 p.m. onwards via an exclusive flash sale on Flipkart.com.
The company also announced an special pricing campaign wherein only the first one million customers of Honor 9 Lite would get an instant discount worth one billion. Additionally, the Honor 9 Lite will come with a complimentary back cover. And during the flash sale customers also avail bank 10 per cent cashback on CitBank credit and debit cards.
Honor recently rolled out EMUI 8.0, an innovative software which has been designed in-house in the R&D centre in India aided by AI powered real-time scene and object recognition.
