Foldable smartphones that swept the floor at Mobile World Congress this year, bringing innovative designs and futuristic technologies have now a competitor in the big screen space. Chinese tech giant Lenovo has unveiled a preview and demo of the world’s first foldable PC – ThinkPad X1. And yes, this is not a phone, tablet, or familiar hybrid; this is a full-fledged laptop with a foldable screen.

While we all want, and are constantly looking to access to a large comfortable screen even on the go, but travel can most of the times, make this inconvenient or impossible. According to the media reports, the remote work increased 140 per cent from 2008 to 2016, with more and more employees taking time-sensitive, media-intensive projects with them everywhere.

The ThinkPad X1 comes with OLED 2K display made in collaboration with LG Display that can fold in half and reduce its width by 50 per cent. The foldable PC is powered by the Intel processor and runs on Windows.
