It’s official. OnePlus has announced that it will introduce the OnePlus TV at an event taking place at multiple locations on September 26. It has also announced that the OnePlus 7T Series of phones, which is likely to include OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro, will launch on October 10 in London. The OnePlus TV and the Pro variant of the phone are also confirmed to come equipped with 90Hz Fluid AMOLED display to deliver ‘the brand’s signature ‘Fast and Smooth’ experience.’

We also like to give our fans a special surprise that is unique for each region,’ Pete Lau, Founder and CEO, OnePlus, said in a statement.

As mentioned, the company will launch the OnePlus TV at the Indira Gandhi Arena in New Delhi at 7 p.m. on September 26. At the same time, an online event will be hosted on OnePlus.com and on OnePlus Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube accounts for the US. At the event OnePlus will announce the OnePlus 7T with a 90hz display. The OnePlus 7T Series Launch Event will take place at the Magazine London Theater in London on October 10 2019 at 16:00 BST. Tickets for the events in New Delhi and London will go on sale on oneplus.in at 10 a.m. starting September 20.

For the OnePlus TV, the company has partnered with Dolby Laboratories to include support for Dolby Vision imaging technology and Dolby Atmos audio for cinematic experience. ‘As we expand into the Smart TV space, this collaboration with Dolby will give our users an unparalleled cinematic experience in the comfort of their homes. We intend to give our community one of the best technologies available in the industry, be it software or hardware. OnePlus has already announced that its TV will come equipped with eight speakers and it will deliver an output of 50 watts. Lau had also confirmed that the OnePlus TV will run Android TV – Google’s proprietary operating system for TVs – and it will receive software updates for at least three years. The executive also shared an image of the remote control of the TV on Twitter.
