Chinese phone maker Oppo has launched the A9 2020 and A5 2020 smartphones in India. Both the smartphones will go on sale on Amazon and other retail stores later this month. The A9 2020 and A5 2020 come with a quad rear camera setup, a 5,000mAh battery, and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC.
Available in marine green and space purple, the Oppo A9 2020 will come in two variants. The 4GB variant will cost Rs 16,990 and the 8GB RAM will cost Rs 19,990. The A9 2020 offers 128GB of storage that can be further expanded to 256GB via micro-SD card.
Available in dazzling white and mirror black colours, the A5 2020 will cost Rs 12,490 for the 3GB RAM variant and Rs 13,990 for the 4GB RAM variant. There is a 64GB of onboard storage that can expanded up to 256GB via micro-SD card.
Interested consumers can purchase the A9 2020 on Amazon starting September 16 and on offline stores starting September 19. The Oppo A5 2020 will be available on Amazon and offline starting September 21.
The company also announced a few offers including a 5 per cent instant discount (available on online) on paying with HDFC Bank credit or debit cards. There will also be exchange offers and no-cost EMI options. Consumers purchasing the Oppo A9 2020 and A5 2020 from offline stores will get zero down payment EMI options on Bajaj Finserv or five per cent cashback on HDFC Bank credit or debit cards. Reliance Jio users will get benefits worth Rs 7,050 and up to 3.1TB 4G Data on Rs 299 Plan.
Vodafone, Idea users are entitled for Rs 3,750 cashback and 250GB additional data on recharge of Rs 255. Airtel subscribers can enjoy double data benefits and unlimited calling on a recharge of Rs 249. All these offers are only available if you purchase the A9 2020 and A5 2020 from offline stores.
Both the smartphones come with the same 6.5-inch display with a waterdrop-style notch and are protected by Gorilla Glass 3. These smartphones are powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 665 SoC and are fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery. Both the devices run on ColorOS 6.1 on top of Android 9 Pie.
For photography, while the Oppo A9 2020 sports a 48MP main camera, the A5 2020 has a 12MP primary camera. Other camera in the quad camera setup on these phones include an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP monochrome shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor for portraits.
While there is an 16MP front camera on the A9 2020, the A5 2020 sports an 8MP selfie camera.
