China’s Realme is planning to launch a quad camera phone in India on August 20. The phone will be exclusive to Flipkart and the e-tailor has also setup a microsite for the same. According to media reports, the new smartphone will be a part of a Realme 5-series.

The microsite highlights that the upcoming Realme will come with have a primary sensor with a large pixel size and a large aperture lens. Additionally, the smartphone will have an ultra-wide-angle lens with a 119-degree field-of-view, a super macro lens with a focal length of 4cm, and a depth camera.

The video posted by Flipkart for the upcoming Realme phone shows the back of the phone with a quad rear camera setup alongside an LED flash module.

Earlier this month, Realme revealed its 64MP camera phone, which will be launched in India before Diwali. For the 64MP resolution, Realme will be using Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright GW1 image sensor.

Driven by the Realme C2 and the Realme 3 Pro, Realme for the third consecutive quarter secured a spot within the top five brands. The Realme C2 has surpassed one million mark within a couple of months of launch and became the fastest brand to reach eight million smartphone shipments in India market within one year of its debut.

According to Counterpoint Research, BBK Group that includes smartphone brands Oppo, Vivo, Realme, and OnePlus became the leading smartphone manufacturer in India for the first-time ever, with its combined share.
