Realme launches Realme X, Realme 3i smartphones in India

Chinese smartphone maker Realme today expanded its premium portfolio with the most affordable pop-up, full-view smartphone, -- the realme X, and a new budget value-king -- realme 3i.

China’s Realme today launched the Realme X in India that comes with the latest in-display fingerprint technology and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and a 3,765mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 flash charge.

The Realme X comes in two variants – 4GB RAM/128GB ROM at Rs 16,999 and the 8GB/128GB ROM at Rs 19,999. The smartphone is available in polar white and space blue colours.

The company also announced Realme X will in two limited editions -- the Realme X Spider-Man Edition (along with a special gift box and a customized UI) which costs Rs 20,999, and the Realme X Master Edition which is designed by the top Japanese industrial design expert, Naoto Fukasawa. The Realme X Master Editions costs Rs 19,999.

The first sale of Realme X will commence from July 24, 12 p.m. omwards on Flipkart and realme.com/in/, but for the fans who “Hate-to-wait”, Realme X will also be available for sale on realme.com/in/ and Flipkart from 8 p.m. onwards on July 18. Consumers can enjoy 10 per cent instant discount with SBI Credit Cards on Realme X and no cost EMI up to 6 months. Realme 3i, on the other hand, will be available on Flipkart and realme.com, with the first sale going live from 12 p.m. onwards on July 23.

The Realme X Spider-Man Edition has already been sold out during blind-order and consumers can finish the remaining payment process from July 22 to July 26. The realme X Master Edition will be available soon for sale.

Realme X

Built on the Qualcomm’s 10nm Snapdragon 710 processor, the Realme X employs the Kryo eight-core architecture, achieving a clock speed of up to 2.2GHz. It also features UFS 2.1 and consumes 35 per cent less power than the traditional EMMC solution. The smartphone has 6.53-inch offering a 91.2 per cent screen to body ratio and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

For photography, the Realme X’s sports a 16MP pop-up selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture and Sony IMX471 image sensor, with a built-in Quad Bayer four-in-one pixel binning technology that increases a single pixel to 2.0μm. At the back, there is Sony’s flagship image sensor IMX586 powered 48MP rear camera with an f/1.7 aperture.

The smartphone runs on ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

Realme 3i

The company also announced one budget offering -- Realme 3i. Powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 and a 4230mAh battery, the Realme 3i sports a 13MP primary + 2MP secondary camera. There is a 13MP front camera in 5P lenses.

The Realme 3i is priced at Rs 7,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant and Rs 9,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant and comes in three different colours diamond blue, diamond black and diamond red.
