Xiaomi’s Redmi has launched a new budget smartphone in India - Redmi Note 9. The latest smartphone from Redmi looks quite similar to the other phones from the Note 9 series. It comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2340 x 1080 resolution, 450 nits brightness, and the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device has a splash-proof nano-coating. It is available in three colours - arctic white, aqua green, and pebble grey.

Under the hood, the Note 9 is backed by MediaTek’s gaming-focused Helio G85 octa-core processor clocked up to 2.0Ghz. For superior performance, the smartphone features MediaTek HyperEngine. The abovementioned chipset is paired with up to 6GB RAM and storage up to 128GB.

The Redmi Pro 9 features a quad-camera array on the rear, which includes a 48MP (f/1.79) primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth camera (autofocus). It also comes with a Pro Video mode. For selfies, the device sports a 13MP front camera. The Pro 9 is powered by the 5,020mAh battery, and it comes with a 22.5W fast charger. It also comes with an IR blaster and fingerprint sensor. As far as the connectivity options are concerned, the device gets Bluetooth 5.0, dual-VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port.

On the pricing front, the Redmi Note 9 4GB + 64GB variant is available for ₹11,999. The 4GB + 128GB variant, on the other hand, is priced at ₹13,499 and the 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at ₹14,999 in India. The smartphone will go on sale from July 24 and it will be available exclusively on Mi.com and Amazon India.
