Samsung’s next flagships smartphone Galaxy S10 is rumoured to come with dual neural processing units (NPU’s) to handle AI-related tasks effectively. It will also be South Korean’s giant first phone to come with 5G and an under-screen camera.

“The Exynos 9820 chipset will be based on a 7nm process and will be the brains behind features such as AI Zoom, AI Colour, Video Bokeh, etc.” South Korea’s publication ETnews reported.

The chipset will competing directly with the Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin 980, the Apple A12 Bionic, and the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150/855 which are all 7nm-based.

The company is also set to announced a foldable smartphone and according to media reports it could launch as early as November 7. The phone likely to be called the Galaxy F will pack a foldable screen, along with the options of primary and secondary display views.

“Samsung has been in talks with YouTube and Netflix on ways to deliver the best experience on a foldable screen,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

The South Korean giant is expected to announce the Galaxy F at the company’s upcoming developer conference, to be held in San Francisco, beginning November 7.

The Galaxy F could feature a 7.29-inch primary display, in tablet mode, and a 4.58-inch secondary screen for smartphone-like use. According to previous rumours and leaks, the device looked like a flip phone that relied on a hinge to connect the two parts of the handset. But Samsung aims to create an actual screen that bends. In July, The Wall Street Journal reported that the upcoming foldable smartphone would use a single screen.
