Samsung India today launched the Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy Tab A 10.1 in the country to provide users a PC-like environment on-the-go, thanks to DeX. The Galaxy Tab S5e is a workstation and tablet rolled into one.
Measuring 5.5mm in thickness and weighing 400 grams, the Galaxy Tab S5e is ultra-portable and offers an extended battery life that lasts up to 14.5 hours. Armed with Samsung DeX mode, the Galaxy Tab S5e acts as a pop-up office for users allowing users to easily switch between DeX mode and Android mode by connecting the tablet to its dedicated POGO Keyboard (sold separately).
DeX supports 20 windows operations at a time and also helps consumer operations like drag and drop and minimise, maximise and thus improving their productivity. And with call and message continuity, you can answer a call or reply to a message directly from your tablet to enhance your communication -- even when the phone is left at home.
The Galaxy Tab S5e’s 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display comes with a 16:10 screen ratio offering a 82 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The Tab S5e also features Dolby Atmos sound technology, a 7,040mAh battery. The tab is also equipped with biometric unlocking -- face recognition and fingerprint scanner.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 comes in a metal unibody design and offers a 10.1-inch full-HD display. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 also has Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound and dual stereo speakers and comes with 6,150mAh battery.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is packed with Kids Home, a feature that helps children develop their creativity and imagination. The tablet comes bundled with a range of Lego game content and native apps like My Art Studio, Crocro Adventure, etc.
Both the Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy Tab A10.1 come in three colours -- silver, black and gold. The Wi-Fi-only variant of Galaxy Tab S5e is priced at Rs 35,999, while the Wi-Fi +LTE variant is priced at Rs 39,999. The Galaxy Tab S5e will go on sale from June 24 across all leading retail stores, Samsung e-Shop and Samsung Opera House. The Galaxy Tab S5e’s Wi-Fi variant will also be available on Amazon.in, while the Wi-Fi +LTE variant will also be available on Flipkart.
The Galaxy Tab A 10.1’s Wi-Fi variant is priced at Rs 14,999, while the Wi-Fi +LTE variant is priced at Rs 19,999. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (Wi-Fi only) will be available for sales only on Amazon.in and Samsung e-Shop starting June 26. The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (Wi-Fi + LTE) will be available across all leading retail stores, Samsung e-Shop and Samsung Opera House starting July 1. This model will also be available on Amazon.in too.
Samsung has also announced a launch offer where in customers purchasing the Galaxy Tab S5e before July 31 can redeem the Book Cover Keyboard at Rs 3,500 instead of the Rs 7,999.
