Sony has officially announced through a blog post that the PlayStation 5 will support popular streaming apps at the time of launch. This comes across as good news for those who'll be using their new PlayStation console for gaming as well as an entertainment hub.

Sony’s Head of Global Partner Development and Relations, Phil Rosenberg has made the announcement via a blog post. The list of apps announced by Sony are:

Sony is clearly putting more focus on entertainment with the upcoming PS5 gaming console. After all, the PS5 UI is expected to provide a more streamlined experience for the abovesaid services, courtesy of a dedicated media section for all streaming and media apps. On top of that, the remote will have dedicated buttons for the most popular services on this list, including Disney+, Spotify, Netflix, and YouTube.
