Xiaomi slashes price of 32-inch Mi TVs in India

Owing to the reduced GST from 28 per cent to 18 per cent for up to 32-inches TVs, China’s Xiaomi has slashed the prices on its TVs. After a price drop of Rs 1,500, the Mi LED Smart TV 4A 32 which was earlier priced at Rs 13,999 is now available for Rs 12,499 on Mi.com.

And with a price drop of Rs 2,000, the Mi LED TV 4C PRO 32 earlier priced at Rs 15,999 now costs Rs 13,999 on Mi.com.

“Similarly, with the recent dollar moderation, our Mi LED TV 4A PRO 49 will also see a price drop of INR 1,000.  As per our philosophy of passing the benefits back to our customers, the product will now be available at an honest price of Rs 30,999 to all our Mi Fans,” the company said.

The company in partnership with Dixon Technologies has started manufacturing Mi LED TVs in India. The new Mi LED TV manufacturing plant is located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh with a campus area spanning across 32 acres.

The factory comprising of 850 people will manufacture approx. 100,000 Mi LED TVs per month by Q1 2019. The plant will locally assemble Mi LED Smart TV 4A 80cm (32-inch) and Mi LED Smart TV 4A 180cm (43-inch) for now.

Mi TVs have already crossed over a million sales mark in just nine months since their launch in 2018.
