Fitbit has announced that its Estimated Oxygen Variation graph is now available to all Charge 3, Ionic, Versa, Versa Lite, and Versa 2 users. The feature utilises the red and infrared sensors on the back of the device to estimate the variability in your blood oxygen saturation level. The company announced this feature at the Versa 2 launch event in August last year, and it started rolling out to some users in January this year.

The graph can be seen in the Fitbit app under the Sleep tile. It approximates the changes in the users’ blood oxygen saturation while they sleep. Blood oxygen saturation measures the per cent of blood that’s saturated with oxygen, which is typically at 95-100 per cent. ‘The graph is another example of our commitment to providing more useful data to our users, but it is not intended for medical purposes,’ FitBit said.

The Fitbit Versa 2 is the company’s flagship product. The Versa 2 comes with a swim-proof design and includes sleep features like sleep score and smart wake. Fitbit also has Spotify app that allows users to play music, control playback, shuffle through songs, and switch music output directly from their wrist. In our review, we found that the Fitbit Versa 2 is a lifestyle watch, and your 24/7 health and wellness companion.
