Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is planning to launch the Oppo Reno 3 Pro mobile in 4G variant in India soon. The Oppo Reno 3 Pro supporting 5G bandwidth was launched in China last year alongside the Oppo Reno 3.

Oppo India Vice President and R&D Head, Tasleem Arif, confirmed the launch of the Oppo Reno 3 Pro via a tweet. ‘Excited to share the most awaited news of 2020 - #OPPOReno3Pro with Expert Camera credentials is launching soon with 4G specifications in India. Moreover, there are a pipeline of products by OPPO which will come with 5G version in India this year!’ tweeted Arif.

Oppo Reno 3 Pro specs

The Reno 3 Pro in China is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765SoC and comes with an 5G modem. There are no specific details about the chipset that the company would be using for the Indian version as only 4G is supported here. The smartphone features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display offering 90Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The smartphone comes with a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP primary Sony IMX586 sensor.

In India, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro is expected to come with a dual hole-punch selfie camera instead of a single selfie camera in the Chinese version. The selfie camera is expected to be a 44MP sensor.

In China, the Oppo Reno 3 Pro was launched at CNY 3,999 (approx. Rs 40,900) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage option carried a price tag of CNY 4,499 (approx Rs 46,000).

Arif further tweeted that Oppo has a great pipeline of products for the Indian market that would support 5G. He didn’t reveal the exact timeline of the launch.
