A week after information about its next season leaked, PUBG Mobile has confirmed that the update 0.16.5 will bring a new arena, Domination map ‘Town’, a new & light snowmobile, and improvements in the Royale Pass Season 11. The update will also let players unlock ‘Operation Tomorrow’ to complete more missions and rewards. The update will be available for free on the App Store and Google Play beginning January 9.

PUBG Mobile has been facing a lot of competition from Call of Duty: Mobile. In fact, users voted Call of Duty: Mobile as the best game of 2019 on Google Play Store. To retain its players base, PUBG Mobile is bringing a new Domination mode, which is quite similar to the one in Call of Duty: Mobile. In this mode, Players now can enter the new Arena map ‘Town’, where they will be assigned to either the blue or red team for a 4v4 battle and capture the bases to win.

There will be three bases to capture. One random base will be activated soon after the match begins, and the next base will be activated after the first base is captured by either team. The team who captures two bases first wins. The Super Weapon Crates are available for players to blow enemies away with super weapons and enjoy the backstreet firefights.

PUBG Mobile says that in response to players’ requests for firearm training, the original version of the Warehouse map has been restored and converted into the Arena Training map. In this map, players can pick up and practice any weapons from the ground anytime instead of using their loadout. Additionally, players can also unlock the new ‘Operation Tomorrow’ themed update with more new missions and rewards, as well as futuristic outfits.
