Following the overwhelming response to OnePlus 3/3T Soft Gold variants last year, Chinese smartphone company OnePlus today announced to launch a limited edition soft gold OnePlus 5.

The limited-edition OnePlus 5 soft gold with 6GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage will be available for Rs 32,999 in India through as well as on the, starting from August 9, 12 a.m. onwards. Users can also experience and purchase the device across OnePlus Experience stores in Bengaluru, Mall of India Noida and Select Citywalk in New Delhi, while supplies last.

To provide users with more options, the Slate Gray OnePlus 5 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage will also be available on, and across OnePlus Experience Stores in Delhi and Bengaluru at Rs 37,999 in India, in the upcoming weeks.

By further developing the sandblasting process, the finish of the Soft Gold OnePlus 5 is 30 per cent finer than that of previous OnePlus Soft Gold devices, claims the company.

The OnePlus 5 features a dual-camera system with a bokeh effect and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform processor paired up with up to 8 GB of RAM. The device also comes with Dash Charge technology and offers a day's power in just 30 minutes of charging.

As compared to previous the OnePlus devices, OnePlus 5 comes with redesigned antenna bands and the placement of the dual camera setup resembles the design of iPhone 7.

The company has also added “Reading Mode” in the OS which filters out blue light and uses greyscale mapping to make reading easy on the eyes.
