Electric mobility startup ‘Khati’ collaborated with Jangid Motors

Electric three-wheeler manufacturer Jangid Motors in association with electric mobility startup Khati has collaborated with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to introduce smart e- auto service through its 200 plus strong distribution point spread across the country.

Under the collaboration, the first batch of 20 vehicles has been rolled out in Vaishali, Ghaziabad in association with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to provide last mile connectivity service to daily commuters. In the coming months, this service will be available on all the Metro stations in Noida and Ghaziabad.

More than 10,000 commuters have registered for the service and more than 20,000 rides have been served through the platform, said a senior official from Khati.

Delhi Metro’s smart cards can be used in the IoT enabled e-autos. And every time a new customer avails this service, they just have to leave a missed call on the toll free registration number - 9555032222 to receive a Unique Reference Number (URN) that will be punched into the digital panel to link their phone to their Metro Card.

The Khati system will update it automatically in all the e-autos eliminating the need for a smartphone or a client based app.

The company has also installed a small CCTV camera in the auto to ensure women’s security and accessibility at the time of travel.
