Amazon has announced that the owners of the Amazon Fire TV Stick and Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K will now able to download the Apple TV app. With this, they will be able to access iTunes library, including all of TV shows and movies that Apple device owners have already purchased or rented from the company. To buy or rent a movie or a show, Fire TV Stick owners can simply do so on their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, PC, and it will instantly appear within the Apple TV app on Fire TV.

Availability

Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K customers will be able to download the app in India, the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. Fire TV Basic Edition customers in over 50 countries can also find the Apple TV app in the Amazon Appstore on their Fire TV. The app will be coming soon to Fire TV Cube (1st and 2nd Gen), Fire TV (3rd Gen pendant design), Toshiba and Insignia Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Nebula sound bar. The Apple TV app is not compatible with Fire TV (1st and 2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick (1st Gen).

To get started, users have to search for “Apple TV” by clicking the search icon in the Fire TV top navigation. They can also send the app to your Fire TV device via the web. Further, users will be able to stream shows from Apple TV+ starting November 1. Within the Apple TV app, users can access Apple TV+ and start streaming originals and highly-anticipated new shows like The Morning Show, Dickinson, and Little America. Fire TV customers can subscribe to Apple TV+ via iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, PC or at tv.apple.com— and watch on Fire TV.
