Although the tech giant hasn't made any official announcements, the Control Center of the device may see changes with the arrival of an updated operating system. At WWDC 2024, Apple is likely to introduce the watchOS, macOS, and iOS 18 in addition to the iOS 18. Apple enthusiasts may catch the live coverage of the event on the company's YouTube channel or its official Event Page. The keynote presentation for WWDC 2024 will begin at 10 a.m. PT, or 10:30 p.m. in India on June 10. Let's take a quick peek at what the largest update of the event, iOS 18, may have to offer.
In his Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg speculated that the Cupertino-based company could enhance the Control Center on the iPhone. It is expected to feature a new Music widget and HomeKit control changes. The iPhone's Music widget currently consists of a small window with a single play/pause button for the song. The Control Center will reportedly receive an upgrade that includes a new music widget and enhancements to its smart home appliance functionality. It could get a simpler user interface and more improved search capabilities. Furthermore, this functionality is predicted to be offered on macOS soon.
The tech giant plans to upgrade Siri with a major AI upgrade. According to reports, the addition of AI will make Siri more intelligent and better. With the enhanced text-to-speech capabilities, the virtual assistant will likely sound less artificial and more human. It will also have improved response generation capabilities.

The ability to customise one's home screen is probably going to get much better. Now, the iOS 18 users will be able to add blank spaces, columns, and rows, as well as position app icons wherever on the grid. They may also alter the app icons' colour. Among the other improvements are the AI-powered emoticons, the Smart Recap function, and the Generative AI photo editor.
