Just a week after foraying into the Indian LED TV market, German consumer electronic major Blaupunkt today announced the support of Amazon Alexa on its LED TVs.
Blaupunkt TVs come with a voice-enabled hybrid launcher, powered by Sensy. The hybrid launcher works well with Amazon's Alexa and Amazon Echo devices. Users can now simply ask Alexa to switch to their favourite channels, without even touching a remote.
To use Blaupunkt TVs with Amazon Echo devices or the Alexa app, just enable the Sensy skill on Alexa. Then just say, "Alexa, open Sensy", and then control their Blaupunkt TV with commands like: switch to Star Plus HD; switch to cricket; what's playing on Star Movies HD; mute the TV.
“The hybrid launcher's AI engine constantly learns user preferences for content on TV and recommends the most appropriate shows to the viewer, whether from Broadcast TV or Internet TV. We are also working to support Indian languages,” the company said.
Blaupunkt has launched three ranges of LED TV. The 4K UHD premium series has three LED models including 43-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch, that have the in-built sound bar of 60 W. The 55-inch is the flagship one and is claimed to be India’s first voice enabled Android television.
All these LED TVs offer high-resolution display, are Quad Core enabled and have 178-degree view angle along with Wi-Fi, Miracast option, multiple ports and RJ45 Ethernet.
The smart sound series has three models available in 32-inch, 43-inch, and 50-inch, having additional sound bar, so a viewer can get 30+60 W sound output. The Smart Sound series comes with a full-HD and HD resolution, supports Wi-Fi, has Miracast and 178-degree viewing angle feature.
The Family Series includes 32-inch and 43-inch LED with a standard 30W sound output and carries similar specifications of other two series except for Inbuilt WiFi and Miracasting feature.
The 4K UHD premium series with 43-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch are priced at Rs 30, 999, Rs 40,999 and Rs 47,999, respectively.
And while the HD Smart Sound Series in 32-inch, 43-inch and 50-inch are priced at Rs 16,999, Rs 28,999 and Rs 34,999, respectively, the family series with 32-inch and 43-inch sizes are priced Rs 12,999 and Rs 22,999, respectively
