BoAt, the renowned Indian wearables brand, has launched its latest smartwatch – the Storm Call 3 – in India. Available for an introductory price of Rs 1,099, the BoAt Storm Call 3 is India's first affordable smartwatch to come with built-in turn-by-turn navigation powered by MapmyIndia, which lets you navigate without constantly needing a smartphone. BoAt claims that the smartwatch is equipped with an independent navigation system that operates autonomously, providing users with accurate, detailed doorstep-level guidance across tens of thousands of cities and lakhs of villages. With this new Storm Call 3 smartwatch, users can now enjoy having maps on their wrists.
The BoAt Storm Call 3 gets a square display with 240x296 pixels resolution and 550 nits of peak brightness. It also brings downloadable watch faces along with an option to create designs for watch faces using DIY Watch Face Studio. On top of that, the smartwatch offers features that range from health monitoring to Bluetooth calling support. Through BoAt's Crest application, you can access wellness crews, fitness buddies, gamification and badges, as well as design custom run plans. Besides, an array of onboard sensors will help continuously monitor your heart rate, SpO2 levels, and sleep quality, while keeping track of your energy levels, sleep scores, and daily activities.
Other notable bits include an emergency SOS feature (that notifies the designated contacts with just a press of a button), a nifty QR Tray feature for storing and accessing QR codes, 700+ activity tracking modes, camera/music controls, weather updates, and Uber alerts. The Storm Call 3 runs on Crest+ OS and is IP67-rated for dust and water resistance. The device's 230mAh battery is said to offer 7 days of charge-free usage.
