Casio India has announced a new addition to its EDIFICE line-up – EQS-800HR, a high-performance metal chronograph in collaboration with Honda Racing. Priced at Rs 12,995, the EQS-800HR time piece is a solar-powered and features a dial made from carbon fibre.

Overall, the watch adopts the red and white image colours of Honda Racing, highlighted by a white leather band with red lining. The dial features the Honda Racing logo, and the strap keeper and back plate are engraved with the Honda logo. The premium watch comes in special packaging that includes a card commemorating the 1968 Honda F1 RA301 race car.

Weighing 103 grams, the watch has a water resistance up to100 meters and also indicates date and battery level.

In September, Casio India launched two new watches -- EQS-900TMS and GR-B100. While the EQS-900TMS solar chronograph is a collaboration model with the TOM’S Racing Team, the GR-B100 is the latest to join the GRAVITYMASTER series designed for pilots and connects to smartphone over Bluetooth.

The EQS-900TMS features a dial made from carbon fibre and stores plenty of energy to drive the watch via the solar panel under the inset dials, enabling the use of a carbon fiber dial in a solar-powered watch. The watch features red accents highlighting the inset dials and buttons.

One new feature of the GR-B100 is a countdown alarm that can count down to a specified date and time, rather than just a time, with the ability to label the event. The countdown to each event can be displayed on the watch down to the exact second. The watch also has a flight log function for recording time and location data, with the ability to view points and routes flown on a map from within the app.

The watch face in the GR-B100 also incorporates a large, high-definition LCD and offers six buttons assigned to a variety of functions. In terms of operability, watch settings such as the world time and alarms can be easily configured from the app.
