Chinese smartphone maker Realme has announced that it has suspended the launch of Narzo 10 series over the coronavirus scare in the country. The company also announced that it has postponed all the upcoming launches in the country.
Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth announced the update on Twitter following Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for a 21-day nationwide lockdown yesterday to curb the spread of coronavirus.
With respect to the announcement made by our Honourable Prime Minister yesterday, we have decided to suspend all upcoming launches including #realmeNarzo series.— Madhav @home (@MadhavSheth1) March 25, 2020

The Chinese smartphone maker has not only suspended the new product launches but has also stopped the production in the country until further notice from the government.
Apart from Realme, other companies including Samsung, LG, Apple, Oppo, Vivo have also halted the production and temporarily shut their factories to curb the spread of coronavirus. In India, the government has also brought Section 144 of the Indian Penal Code in action.
Apple, which manufactures affordable iPhone and the iPhone XR in collaboration with Foxconn’s Chennai plant, will remain shut till April 14.
Now, with Vivo and Realme cancelling their product launches, it is highly likely that we would soon see an announcement from Xiaomi postponing the launch of the Mi 10 in India. The smartphone is scheduled for a March 31st launch.
The Narzo 10 series was scheduled to be launched online on March 26 at 12:30 pm. The Realme Narzo 10 is expected to come with a 6.50-inch display with a resolution of 720x1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The smartphone is expected to be powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor clubbed with 3GB of RAM. The device would come with a quad-camera setup, comprising a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
