Three years after Flipkart launched its lineup of tablets on 2014 which did not produce much success for the company, Flipkart is now planning a comeback and will launch its own smartphone “Billion Capture+.”

Flipkart’s website is already running a live banner for the upcoming launch on November 15. The dual camera carrying Billion Capture Plus smartphone will be priced at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM version and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM variant.

Both variants will come in black and desert gold colours and Flipkart will offer “No Cost EMI,” discounts on leading debit/credit cards for the sale of its Billion Capture+ phone.

The Billion Capture+ is part of Flipkart’s private label Billion and this is a ‘Made for India’ smartphone. The device will have a 5.5-inch full HD display with 401 PPI and the screen will be protected by 2.5D Dragontrail glass. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and will offer 32GB/64GB storage on board depending on the version. The memory can be further expanded up to 128 GB via a microSD card.

The Billion Capture+ will sport 13MP + 13MP dual camera set up at the back along with a ‘Super Night mode’ and ‘Bokeh effect’ as well. Flipkart has used RGB and monochrome sensors for the ‘Bokeh’ effect on the smartphone. There is a 8MP camera at front.

The smartphone will have a 3,500mAh battery which the company claims will offer “two days of uninterrupted battery life.” This has a USB Type C charger and Quick Charge with Flipkart promising seven hours of battery life with just 15 minutes of charging.

“The Billion brand’s products have always been backed by meticulous data-driven research and insight into Indian customers’ needs. The features in the Capture+ too have been derived from deep data-mining of millions of Flipkart customers’ reviews. Few true dual camera phones offer this combination of flagship features. We’re sure this customer-centricity will delight Indian smartphone buyers,” said Sachin Bansal, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Flipkart in a press statement.

According to Flipkart, the Billion Capture+ will feature a premium metal body construction and will come with unlimited cloud storage and runs on stock Android Nougat with an assured update to Android Oreo.

With customer service as priority, Flipkart says it has 130 service centres for its phones in over 125 cities in the country.
