The Google Pay iOS app has been temporarily removed from Apple's App Store in order to fix a payment failure issue. It is, however, still available to download from the Play Store on Android.

Google's UPI-based payments application, dubbed as Google Pay, has been temporarily removed from Apple's App Store, and, hence, is unavailable to download for Apple users in India.

Since the application is now missing from the App Store, users are served with alternative UPI-based applications such as PhonePe and Paytm when particularly searching for 'Google Pay' in India. This isn't the first time when Google Pay has been removed from the App Store. A few months back, the application was briefly removed from Apple's store, but that issue was quickly fixed.

On this matter, a Google spokesperson said “A small number of Apple iOS users might experience persistent payment failures on their transactions. Our teams are working to fix it at the earliest. Meanwhile, affected users can reach out to Google Pay support through the app for help. We apologize for the inconvenience to our users.”

This issue does not affect Android users and, therefore, the Google Pay application remains available for download on Android's Play Store in India.
