The wait is finally over! Putting an end to all rumours and leaks, Google has finally introduced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 4a, which was supposed to be launched a few months back.

As suggested by the leaks, the Pixel 4a comes with a square-camera module at the back, which houses a primary 12.2MP sensor and an LED flash. It's powered by the Snapdragon 730G processor and offers 128GB of internal storage. Talking about the storage, it comes in a sole 128GB version, which, sadly, is not expandable via microSD. It does come with 6GB of RAM, which is plenty for a mid-range smartphone.

At the front of the Pixel 4a is a 5.81-inch OLED display with a 1080 x 2340px resolution and a hole-punch camera cutout at the upper-left corner. The latter houses an 8MP front-facing selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.12μm pixels, but there is no autofocus. As expected, the Pixel 4a runs on the latest version of Android 10 out-of-the-box, without any prior modifications on top.

The Pixel 4a features a rather modest 3,140 mAh battery, which can be charged using the Power Delivery 2.0 standard at up to 18W via USB-C. Moreover, it packs all the essentials like Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, 4G VoLTE, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Being a Pixel smartphone, the 4a gets a long list of camera-centric features, including Night Sight, Portrait Mode, and Top Shot.

The Google Pixel 4a price is set at $349 (nearly ₹26,250) in the US for the sole 6GB+128GB variant. As of now, the Pixel 4a can be pre-ordered in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Germany, Japan, and Australia in a single 'just black' colour. It will go on sale starting August 20. There's, however, no word regarding the Pixel 4a's India launch.
