Tech aficionados have not stopped talking about the Google Pixel 8a since word of its imminent launch in India spread online. A few days back, there were rumours that the Google Pixel 8a could make its debut on May 14 at the Google I/O event. However, the tech giant decided to surprise the world with an early launch. Priced slightly higher than the Pixel 7a, Google's newest smartphone boasts the brand's Tensor G3 chipset and an integrated Gemini AI assistant. As you may remember, the Pixel 7a was priced at Rs 43,999 when it was first released in India. Meanwhile, the starting price of the Pixel 8a begins at Rs 52,999. Here are all the relevant details regarding the Pixel 8a's specs, features, availability, and more.

Google Pixel 8a: Price and Availability

The global-spec Google Pixel 8a will be offered with 128GB and 256GB storage capacities. For each of these storage options, the brand is sticking with 8GB RAM. The company is also introducing both of these models to the Indian market; the 256GB model will cost Rs 59,999, while the 128GB version will carry a price tag of Rs 52,999. Furthermore, the phone will be available in a total of four colour options: Aloe, Bay, Obsidian, and Porcelain. 

You may reserve your Google Pixel 8a by visiting the Flipkart website, where the model is currently available for pre-order. The phone will go on sale on May 14. Customers who preorder can benefit from several launch offers with certain bank cards, which can lower the phone's initial cost. Users of SBI credit cards are eligible for instant benefits worth Rs 4,000. Also, there is a Rs 9,000 exchange deal available on a few smartphone models. As a result, the price of the phone comes down to Rs 39,999. Additionally, if you purchase the Pixel 8a during the pre-order period, you can get your hands on the Pixel Buds A-Series for just Rs 999.

Google Pixel 8a: Design

The phone's design is largely influenced by that of its predecessors, while there are some minor adjustments as well. The phone measures 152.1mm x 72.7mm x 8.9mm and weighs 188 grams. The panel has a polished metal frame and a matte finish on the rear. The camera module is unique, including two sensors housed in a thick horizontal strap. Moreover, the front features the standard punch-hole display surrounded by rounded corners.

Google Pixel 8a: Specs and Features

The 6.1-inch OLED Actua display screen, which has 430 ppi and a resolution of 1080 x 2400, is included with the Google Pixel 8a. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and has a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Additionally, according to Google, the Actua display on the Pixel 8a is 40% brighter than the Pixel 7a. The Titan M2 security coprocessor and Tensor G3 chipset from Google power the Pixel 8a. The memory capacity on the phone is 8 GB LPDDR5x. The new model has a 4492 mAh battery, which Google claims can last the whole day. The retail box comprises a charger.

The Pixel 8a has two rear cameras: a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel primary lens. In the front, there is a 13-megapixel camera with a wide field of view. The camera also includes some AI features to help you get the most out of your photos.
