HARMAN International, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics today launched an intelligent speaker "Allure" in India that features an iconic design and voice control capabilities powered by Amazon Alexa.
The speaker was first unveiled at IFA, in Berlin in August 2017. Harman Kardon Allure is priced at Rs 22,490 and is available exclusively for Amazon Prime members, starting December 11.
“We’re excited to launch this much sought-after product in India. Ever since its launch at IFA -- we have seen tremendous interest and demand for the Harman Kardon Allure from our Indian customers” said Sumit Chauhan, Vice President, Lifestyle Audio Division at HARMAN India.
Users can ask Alexa to play music, read the news, make purchases on Amazon.in, and more. According to Harman, the speaker can even hear in noisy environments or from a far distance.
With Alexa-enabled Allure, consumers can book Uber, Ola, get flight information from Goibibo, Jet Airways, or order food and hear recipes from Faasos, Box8, Freshmenu, Zomato, Tarla Dalaal, and can get sports and entertainment updates from Amazon Prime Music, Saavn, ESPNCricinfo, Bollywood Hungama, as well as control their smart home (Syska, Phillips, Silvan) with their voice.
The speaker offers 360-degree sound and has ambient lighting design that glows from inside. The ambient light also reacts to the voice commands and dances to the tunes.
The speaker has four-microphone array built-in with advanced noise cancellation technology and offers hands-free voice control from across the room.
In October, the company unveiled new audio line-up that includes JBL Flip 4, JBL Pulse 3, Harman Kardon Traveller, Harman Kardon OMNI+ series, JBL Cinema SB450 and Infinity Kappa Perfect 600.
