Honor 200 5G Series with AI-backed Cameras Teased Ahead of Upcoming India Launch

Following the launch of the Honor 200 series in China, a teaser shared by HTech's CEO Madhav Sheth is now doing the rounds on the internet. That teaser confirms that the Honor 200 series (Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro) will launch in our market soon, probably in June 2024. While not much is known, the 200 series will get AI-backed cameras as can be deduced from the teaser image. However, it remains to be seen whether both models will arrive on our market. If not both, at least the regular Honor 200 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset will surely make it here. In the meantime, let's take a look at what the Chinese counterparts offer in terms of features, price, specifications, and more:

Honor 200: Technical Specifications, Features

The Honor 200 sports a 6.7-inch quad-curved Full HD+ (2,664 x 1,200 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 4,000 nits peak brightness, and up to 3,840Hz PWM dimming. Powering the standard Honor 200 is a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor with an Adreno 720 GPU. The processor is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 512GB onboard storage.

Camera-wise, users get a triple camera setup at the rear – a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary sensor (with OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide/macro lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with a Sony IMX856 sensor. On the other side, the front packs in a 50-megapixel sensor for selfies. The device is backed by a 5,200mAh battery with 100W fast charging.

Other bits include an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, a 5,029mm2 heat dissipation unit, an IR blaster, and NFC. Coming to its pricing, the base 12GB + 256GB costs CNY 2,699 (around Rs. 31,000), while the 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 256GB variants are priced at an identical CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 34,000). Prepare to spend CNY 3,199 (around Rs. 37,000), if you want to buy the 16GB + 512GB variant. 

Honor 200 Pro: Technical Specifications, Features

Meanwhile, the Honor 200 Pro can be had at a starting price of CNY 3,499 (approx. Rs. 40,000), while the top-end 16GB RAM/1TB variant will set the buyers back by CNY 4,499 (approx. Rs 51,000). Unlike the 200's, the 200 Pro's 6.7-inch quad-curved OLED display offers a resolution of 2,700 x 1,224 pixels. The 200 Pro gets a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and a 5,200mAh battery with 100W wired, 66W wireless, and reverse wireless charging.

The triple camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel OmniVision OV50H primary sensor (with OIS), a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with a Sony IMX856 sensor. The front section features a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 3D depth sensor. Unlike the Honor 200, the 200 Pro is IP55-rated for water and dust resistance.

The Honor 200 series runs on Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0. The devices are offered in four colour options in China – Coral Pink, Moon Shadow White, Sky Blue, and Velvet Black.
