HTC One ME has Dolby audio system, 20MP camera, inbuilt 32GB memory space, expandable to 2TB, even the plastic body is top class, so is it the perfect one?

The HTC One range has always consisted of an up-market range of phones and the One ME is no different. Slotted below the HTC One M9 range, the One ME looks very similar to the M9 models. Look closer however, and you will notice that the back panel is made of plastic and not metal like the aforementioned model range. That said, build quality, as is usually the case with HTC, is very good and even the plastic back panel feels solid. Overall, build quality and fit and finish is excellent on the One ME.

The front face of the phone has a large 5.2-inch HD LCD screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixel display with a pixel density of 565ppi. The top and bottom of the screen is flanked by a metal body. There is a long speaker grille at the top alongside which is the front camera. At the bottom, the speaker grilles are separated by the home button with finger print scanner. As finger print scanners go, this one is very convenient too and requires little effort to unlock the phone, which is always a boon.

HTC offers Dolby audio with BoomSound speakers on the One ME and it has to be said that sound quality is rather good for playing both videos and music. If there is a slight drawback, it is the 2,840mAH battery which can run out of juice when you are using the camera and using multiple apps at the same time to upload material online.

The HTC One ME packs in a 2.2GHz 64-bit Octa-core processer that performs seamlessly under all conditions, thanks also to the phone’s 3 GB RAM. The phone runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and is a joy to use while operating multiple apps. The multi-screen mode is easy to access as well while switching between apps and the system operates very quickly. Touch sensitivity is pretty good as well. All of this combined with its rich HD display makes watching videos and viewing pictures a pleasant experience.

The main camera of the One ME is a 20MP unit which is very stable and adapts well to a wide variety of lighting conditions automatically. It also comes with a lot of settings as well. The front camera is a 4MP unit with 1080P video recording capability. The One ME comes with dual SIM capability and with a built in memory of 32 GB, which is expandable to a staggering 2 TB.

On the whole, the HTC One ME is a great package for those who are looking to juggle a lot of apps at the same time, as the phone operates seamlessly. Things like the excellent build quality, handy finger print scanner, great camera and sound quality make the phone feel special.
