Huawei rolls out new update for Mate 20 Pro

Telecommunications giant Huawei has rolled out a new over the air update that brings new features and enhancements in the camera, face unlock, system navigation, call and security departments in the Mate 20 Pro.

Post the update, users can manually toggle the super macro mode via the camera app and also toggle additional zoom modes giving 1X, 3X and wide-angle capabilities, more easily in the view finder. The camera app can now focus on an object as close as 2.5cm, which was earlier made possible with a built-in AI.

‘The face unlock performance in certain scenarios has also improved, making it even more seamless and user friendly for the users. There is also an improvement in the smoothness of gesture-based navigation system, designed to offer an end to end EMUI experience to users,’ Huawei said in a statement.

Coming with high-performance 7nm Kirin 980 processor to fast LTE to the reverse wireless charging, huge battery, waterproof design, in-display fingerprint scanner, 3D face unlock, high-resolution OLED display, multi-camera system and a massive RAM and storage, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro is one of best Android flagship phones in the Indian market.

Further, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro sports a triple camera setup including a 40MP main camera, a 20MP ultra wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera.

Users in India can now watch Netflix content in HD and HDR on their Huawei Mate 20 Pro thanks to the Widevine L1 support. Delivering HD (720p+) video content, the smartphone is capable of adaptive streaming quality and licensing key exchange to protect the content from being pirated. This feature was not available initially during at the time of the launch.
