ICT brands showcased advanced products at Convergence India 2018 Expo

In line with government’s initiatives including “Make in India", "Digital India", "Smart Cities" and "Start-up India", several Information and Communication Technology (ICT) brands showcased advanced products at the ongoing Convergence India 2018 expo, here.

The expo brought together key IT decision makers and professionals from the telecom, IT, broadcast industry. Companies both small and large showcased technological advances that will further boost the country’s digital transformation.

Convergence India Expo is South Asia’s biggest and influential trade expo to engage and educate the Indian market on emerging ICT and industry trends. The 26th edition focused on new-age technologies and merging business solutions to enrich the lives of a billion people.

China’s A-Telematics showcased AT10 E-lock tracker which when combined with GSM, GPS and RFID can be widely used in large scale cluster monitoring, transportation management and many other fields.

AT10 helps monitor container door status, and keep security of cargo and can support multiple alarms such as lock string cut off alarm, unlock alarm, lock alarm, geo fence alarm, etc.

Singapore-based media technology provider PurpleStream showcased PurpleCloud that delivers streams on a multi-CDN platform providing redundancy and high Quality of Service. The company has established a global network of downlink facilities and transcoding farms to ingest satellite TV content and provide cost effective turnaround solution to global OTT operators and broadcasters.

PurpleCloud provides CloudTV solution to broadcasters, content Owners and OTT players by enabling their content across all connected devices and empowering patrons to view their content across the world.

In India, PurpleStream has created a ready to go-live access for over 1500 liner TV channels from over 15 satellites, which can be leveraged by OTT service providers and telcos resulting in faster go-to market since it eases the bottleneck of content aggregation.

The company also offers PurpleBeam, a plug and play video delivery service for broadcaster content and live events. This service offering takes standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) content and delivers to end-users. Whether mobile device, tablet or TV all video content is delivered with optimised quality.
