Infinix has officially revealed its Hot 9 series of smartphones in India, which are, essentially the successor to the Hot 8 line-up. The series consists of two entry-level smartphones, Hot 9 and Hot 9 Pro. The two smartphones are largely identical to one another, with the only major difference being that the Pro model has a 48MP primary camera, where the standard one has a 13MP primary shooter.
Both the smartphones are powered by a MediaTek P22 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. They both feature a 6.6-inch display with HD+ resolution and 64GB of internal storage. Moreover, both phones run on XOS 6 UI based on Android 10. Both also feature a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the back. The smartphones are backed by a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 10W fast charging via micro USB.
In the camera department, the Hot 9 Pro features a quad-camera array at the back, which includes a 48MP primary camera, a 2MP macro shooter, a 2MP depth helper, and a dedicated low light sensor. As said above, the Hot 9 gets a 13MP primary shooter, accompanied by the same three auxiliary cams as the Hot 9 Pro. Regardless of the rear camera setup, both phones feature an 8MP selfie cam embedded in a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner.
As for the pricing, the Hot 9 is priced at ₹8,499 and will be available from June 8 whereas the Hot 9 Pro will retail for ₹9,499 starting June 5 on Flipkart. Lastly, both the smartphones will be available in a single 4GB + 64GB configuration in blue and violet colours.
