Launched globally in August last year, the Infinix Smart 5 finally sets foot in the Indian market today. However, despite carrying the same nametag, the Indian variant of the Smart 5 comes with a few key differences.

The India-spec Infinix Smart packs a 6.82-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch at the top for its 8MP selfie camera. Moreover, it gets a beefier 6,000mAh battery – which can be topped up via micro-USB – and comes powered by a MediaTek Helio G25 chipset.

The smartphone features 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the latter of which is expandable up to 256GB via microSD. Besides that, it gets a dual-camera setup at the rear, which includes a 13MP primary sensor and a secondary low light sensor. The phone runs on the brand's XOS 7 skin on top of Android 10 (Go Edition).

The Infinix Smart 5 price in India is set at ₹8,999 for the sole 2GB+32GB version. However, as part of an introductory offer, the phone will first retail for ₹7,199 when it goes on sale starting February 18 on Flipkart. You can pick the Smart 5 in four colours – 7° purple, Morandi green, Aegean blue, and obsidian black.
