In a continued effort to cater to the ever-increasing consumer demand for high speed data, Intex Technologies has partnered with Reliance Jio’s all-IP 4G LTE network, for providing additional 25GB 4G data to Intex 4G smartphone users.

Under this agreement, all new Intex 4G smartphone users, using a Jio connection, can enjoy additional 5GB 4G data, per recharge, over and above what they normally get, on a recharge of Rs 309 or above, limited to a maximum of five recharges.

“With this (Jio) partnership, Intex is catering to the needs of the never-ending data appetite of today’s tech savvy consumers especially during the festive season when data consumption will be limitless,” said Nidhi Markanday, Director and Business Head, Mobiles, Intex Technologies.

The world’s largest end-to-end IP network of Jio and Intex’s pan-India mobile distribution network will together be a delight for consumers. Partnering with Jio will surely boost our current and potential consumer base, Markanday added.

The announcement comes two days after Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that Jio has garnered 100 million subscribers in just 170 days and Jio now holds a total subscriber base of over 125 million and a market share of 10.39 per cent as of June end.

Targeting 50 crores feature phone users in the country, Ambani last month launched JioPhone in India at Rs zero.

JioPhone supports 22 languages and to guard the device against misuse, consumers purchasing the phone will have to pay a fully refundable security deposit of Rs 1,500 secuirty deposit.

While the pre-bookings for the phone commenced from August 24, it is available on first come first served basis, starting from September.

JioPhone is considered as the most disruptive project from Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries and the company is targeting the 100 million feature phone users in the country in the first year of its launch.
