iQOO, a subsidiary of Vivo, has launched its latest budget 5G smartphone in the Indian market – the Z9x. This is the same phone launched in China last month but comes in Tornado Green and Storm Grey colour options, and 4GB RAM + 128GB, 6GB RAM + 128GB, and 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variants. The pricing of the smartphone starts at Rs 12,999 for the base-spec variant and goes up to Rs 15,999 for the top-spec variant. Between the two sits the mid-spec 6GB RAM + 128GB variant costing Rs 14,499. In comparison, the Chinese counterpart can be had in Dark Night, Feng Yuqing, and Starburst White colourways, and is available in 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB configurations, with prices more or less keeping up with the India-spec Z9x.

Indian buyers can purchase the iQOO Z9x through Amazon.in and iQOO's online India store. Sales will commence on May 21 at noon. While the Z9x's starting price of Rs 12,999, undoubtedly, makes it an enticing deal to grab onto, you can further drive down the price of the new smartphone using a flat Rs 1,000 discount on ICICI Bank and SBI credit/debit card transactions and EMI purchases, or a flat Rs 500 coupon discount on Amazon.
