Smartphone maker itel today announced two new entry level feature packed smartphones S42 and A44. While S42 is available at Rs 8,499, the A44 will hit the market around mid-April, at Rs 5,799.

The full screen display selfie phone S42 comes with 5.65-inch display and 18:9 HD+ resolution, ultra-thin bezel design. Further, the itel S42 sports a dual flash 13MP PDAF rear and 13 MP front camera, supported by f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens and clubbed with 120-degree wide selfie angle and the bokeh beauty mode.

The S42 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 with quad-core 1.4Ghz processor and runs on latest Android Oreo operating system. The phone houses 3GB of RAM and has an internal memory of 16GB which is expandable up to 128GB. 

The S42 is packed with dedicated dual-SIM capabilities and connectivity options like- 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The 3,000mAh Li-Polymer battery allows the device to run for up to 16 days on standby, the company said.

The A44 and A44 Pro offers 5.45-inch full screen display with 18:9 ultra-thin bezels and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The smartphone is powered by MT6737M 64 bit quad-core processor and comes equipped with multi-functional fingerprint sensor technology. Both, A44 and A44 Pro also come equipped with smart key to enable Bike mode function.

According to industry reports, itel has emerged as the second largest player in the overall mobile phone market in India by capturing nine percent market share in 2017 -- registering an exponential growth of 217 per cent year-on-year.
