Bluetooth connectivity is really the USP of these LG LH70B speakers that is an extremely convenient system to have at home.
Bluetooth is a wonderful thing, isn’t it, especially when it comes to our mobile phones. You don’t have to worry about tangled up earphones and Bluetooth telephony in cars is a pure boon. But having the feature incorporated in your set of speakers back home is just as cool too. In this day and age, we tend to have all our data including our favourite tunes on our phones. And having the convenience of just playing a new song you discovered while walking into your house is as good as life gets sometimes. I found this to be quite a routine during the time when I was using the LG LH70B. As I’d toss my house keys, I would simultaneously switch on the Bluetooth on my phone and press the power button on the speakers. And that’s it. The Bluetooth would connect seamlessly and I would play the latest song in a jiffy.
But it’s not all roses and sunshine here as the entire speaker assembly is quite a dull looking unit with its boxy proportions. While there is nothing wrong with the looks, it’s not exactly something you would have on display when you have visitors. Ditto goes for sound quality. No matter how much you adjust the bass or treble, sound quality is just about ordinary and isn’t something that will really get your groove on.
Still, the good news is that once you get over its looks, the LG LH70B continues to impress with a host of functions such as the FM radio receiver that allows you to listen to your local radio stations. The remote for the unit comes in handy in this regard, as you can switch between different sources of music ranging from Bluetooth connectivity, AUX, USB and even your television courtesy audio connecting cables and of course compatibility.
Another aspect I love about the LH70B system is that it is a very compact and uncluttered system. There aren’t too many wires and the whole system can be carried single handed to say, a friend’s place, where you can set it up as easily as you removed it, making for an extremely party friendly system. And that to me is all that you can ask from an affordable speaker system worth just Rs.7,990.
