Given the impressive performance of its Dimensity chipsets in 2020, MediaTek has successfully grabbed the attention of the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple. According to a recent report, Apple has chosen MediaTek to make some of the components of Beats headphones in the future.

This is the first time Apple is relying on MediaTek to make some of its components for future Beats headphones. However, it is still not clear which particular component the Taiwanese manufacturer will supply to Apple.

Analysts believe that the first batch will ship in February and March this year. It may start with the most affordable Beats headphones, the 'Beats Flex', which are currently priced at $49.99 (around ₹3,655).

For the first time since the advent of the iPhone, Apple has stopped bundling wired earphones inside the box of the iPhone 12 series. Apple ships around 200 million iPhones a year, and the Beats Flex wireless earphones certainly make a lot of sense considering many people still rely on budget earphones.
